All of us have things we want to do before we kick the bucket. Here is mine:
Find a barn find
Restore a car
Drive an Italian super car
Own a V12
Drive a stick
Own muscle car
Own a pre war classic
Cross country road trip
What is your bucket list?

Kind of the same as yours, but I have more stuff crossed off ;)
![]() 03/20/2015 at 14:17 |

Wait...you haven't driven a stick?

Never had the opportunity

Drive the nurburgring
Drive Laguna Seca
Own a rear drive 911 of any vintage other than 991 or 996

I want an amphibious car. No particular reason, just do.
![]() 03/20/2015 at 14:20 |

Marauder.
![]() 03/20/2015 at 14:20 |

Solid list. I didn't even think about driving tracks. Better get on that 911 before they all skyrocket into the stratosphere.

I think an amphi car would be so much fun but damn they are not cheap

This one?

YES

1) perform an insane engine swap
2) Drive a supercar car
3) get my license
4) own a classic Porsche
5) learn to drift
6) learn how to heel-toe
7) restore a non American classic car
8) see all of the trinity (Porsche 918, LaFerrari, P1)
9) visit the Geneva Auto Show.

I want to daily-drive a sand rail. That's honestly the only attainable goal I can think of right now.
Obviously I'll never own a Koeniggsegg or participate in an all-exotic demolition derby or anything else like that, so yeah.
![]() 03/20/2015 at 14:24 |

Do 200mph. Guess I best start saving up for a E60 M5.

own a car that bounces
DD a Hummer
Hold a position of power in Cadillac Corporate
Own a movie car
Drive to LA in a '76 Eldorado bicentenial edition
Live in a trailer pulled by said Eldorado.

Haha yea, the 911 is more of an "If I ever have lots of disposable income" bucket list item. To be honest the 2002 isn't a much easier quest, every one that is in the condition that I would like is about 15k more than I could see myself spending!

buy a 911
buy a jaguar xjs (first car whose design floored me)
buy a 928
buy a v12
drive a v12 across montana
use a completely unpractical car as a daily driver in manhattan
drive a big black german luxo-sedan (S class, 7 series, a8) through yellowstone
use a 911 as winter beater
daily drive an aston
drive a modern sports car (r8 or similar) through the utah national parks
rent a 911 for a german driving tour (ring, autobahn, various factories)
drive an old jeep to tierra del fuego
drive an old communist car across southeast asia
drive a NEW jaguar from london to scotland
there's many many more...

see all of the trinity (Porsche 918, LaFerrari, P1)
The problem with this one is if you don't see them soon that will be old news.
![]() 03/20/2015 at 14:41 |
|
Why? I understand it is a bit of a hot rod but what makes it THAT worthy
![]() 03/20/2015 at 14:42 |
|
All exotic demolition derby? You have a twisted mind
![]() 03/20/2015 at 14:42 |
|
well I got 918 off the list (sorta)
But idc, I still want to see them.
![]() 03/20/2015 at 14:43 |
|
That is a good one I should have had that on my list..
![]() 03/20/2015 at 14:44 |
|
At least three of these can be complicated if you can buy a 76 Eldo
![]() 03/20/2015 at 14:45 |
|
Maybe a small refurbishment would be necessary and honestly that makes it more fun!
![]() 03/20/2015 at 14:46 |
|
Damn you have done some cool stuff though
![]() 03/20/2015 at 15:02 |
|
i'm gettin old... here's some other interesting stuff accomplished.
drive across the country in 2.5 days
drive a ferrari in a parade of ferraris on the way to the pebble beach shows
sit in an f40
buy a car sight unseen from ebay... across the country... fly out... drive home
drive a vespa along the "rendezvouz" path in paris at 6am.
drive the pch from la up to san francisco through big sur
i'll keep thinking...
![]() 03/20/2015 at 15:08 |
|
PCH is something I meant to add to the list. After reading the stuff you have done know I need to expand my own.
![]() 03/20/2015 at 15:10 |

It's like a better M5
![]() 03/20/2015 at 15:28 |
|
But why not? I mean, I wouldn't organize one, but if it was happening already then hell yeah I'll drive a Ferrari to its death.
![]() 03/20/2015 at 15:31 |
|
Why? Cheaper and faster?
![]() 03/20/2015 at 15:32 |
|
I mean someone somewhere would want that Ferrari I am sure. You are killing someones dream car. It is a sad fate.
![]() 03/20/2015 at 15:47 |

you should have an interest in travel.
whether for sightseeing (the grand canyon, or big sur or something like that) or cultural interest (paris, germany, east asia, peru). then figure out how that travel piece might fit nicely into a car-related adventure.
its also easier to convince a lady friend that driving around france is a worthwhile ordeal when "paris" and "south of france" are involved. :)

I've always wanted a 911, but that's fading with the completely ridiculous market for them.
Otherwise:
Work for a Le Mans team
Finish my 2002
Finish my Lancia
Restomod my Vanagon
Drive a Ferrari F40
Bask in the magnificence of a V12 Matra
Build an electric car
Wheel the Rubicon
Own a prewar classic (even a Model T would be great)
Drive an Aston Martin V12 Vantage
Drive the 'Ring. I've been there, but was working.
Build a Caterham
I'm sure the list will change, but these are fairly constant.

Luckily my parents have given me that interest in travel and thankful I have seen a lot of North America. I will have to figure out how to start incorporating cars into my travels though

If you live in the midwest and ever get a chance to go to Michigan they have a Model T driving school.
